Fresh food at Folly Farm Monday 19th October 2009
Do you want to hold a business meeting in an environment away from the office that opens your eyes and changes your perspective?
A wildlife kitchen garden has been built at Folly Farm Conference Centre. The team worked in conjunction with groups which support adults with learning difficulties and mental health illness.
All produce harvested has been used at the Centre to add fresh, local flavour to the Conference Delegate’s meals – with zero food miles.
To expand this project we’ve produced a wildlife gardening toolkit (www.wildgardens.org.uk) which provides the necessary guidance to gardening in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way – including planning your own kitchen garden this winter.
