Guided group garden tours at Bowood
Group guided tours are being featured at Bowood in 2010, taking in the glorious heritage and variety of the Pleasure Grounds that surround Bowood House.
The guided tour will literally cover a lot of ground, stretching out across 2 ½ -3 miles (with seats positioned along the way) and lasting approximately two hours. Starting at the distinctive Upper and Lower Terraces that front Bowood House, each group will then head down towards Capability Brown’s lake, around to the Cascade and Grotto, on towards Temple Island and back through the Arboretum (with its 11 champion trees) before a buffet lunch served in the House Restaurant. Afterwards, visitors can look round Bowood House in their own time.
